circumstances, there is a significant exposure to litigation against the City.
There are two (2) potential cases.
NEGOTIATIONS REGARDING ACQUISITION/DISPOSITION OF REAL
PROPERTY
The City Council will recess to closed session pursuant to Go
vernment Code
§54956.8 to give instructions to the City’s negotiator, Marcela Piedra, City
Manager, regarding the following negotiations regarding real property:
(a) With the Humane Society of Imperial County and Phil Heald, which
instructions will concern
price, terms of payment or both, including due diligence
provisions and other monetary related considerations concerning lease and
sublease of the property located at 355 W. Olive St. El Centro, CA.
(b) with Was Fun Realty, Inc., which instructions will
concern price, terms of
payment or both, including due diligence provisions and other monetary related
considerations concerning purchase and sale of the property located at 595 W.
State, El Centro, CA.
LABOR RELATIONS NEGOTIATIONS
The City Council will r
ecess to closed session pursuant to Government Code
§54957.6 to meet with Agency Representatives Marcela Piedra, Leticia Salcido,
Finance Director, Jolena Grider and Sunny Huynh with Cole Huber LLP, and
Teri Brownlee, Human Resources Director for the purpo
se of reviewing the
City’s position and instructing its representative(s) regarding matters of salaries,
salary schedules, compensation paid in the form of fringe benefits, or, as
applicable, other matters dealing with mandatory subjects within the scope o
f
representation pursuant to Government Code §3504; negotiating with All
Department Heads, All Unrepresented Units, All Bargaining Units.
