12. Sponsorship Request from the Imperial Valley Press for "The Valley
Challenge" Health Initiative
PRESENTATION: Gerard- IMPERIAL VALLEY PRESS REPRESENTATIVE
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Manager recommends a $2,500 in-kind sponsorship through the use of
Parks & Recreation facilities.
The Imperial Valley Press is a private business and not a non-profit organization.
Therefore an in-kind sponsorship is recommended.
13. Discussion and any necessary action regarding a Memorandum of
Understanding between the COUNTY OF IMPERIAL and the Cities of
BRAWLEY, CALEXICO, CALIPATRIA, EL CENTRO, HOLTVILLE, IMPERIAL
and WESTMORLAND to perform an assessment regarding a potential countywide
tax measure to fund the goals of the Regional Animal Control and
Stakeholder Group

IMPERIAL AND THE CITIES OF BRAWLEY, CALEXICO, CALIPATRIA,
HOLTVILLE, IMPERIAL AND WESTMORLAND FOR PAYMENT OF A FAIR
SHARE PERCENTAGE OF THE COST OF AN ANIMAL SHELTER NEEDS

forth under Public Comments. We ask that you please complete a “Speaker Slip” and submit it to the City Clerk
